A space for quiet reflection

Tea Meditation Session

Each session takes place in our tea room in Taitung — a minimalist space on Taiwan’s east coast, framed by mountains and ocean. It was built with the intention to embrace silence, cultivate awareness, and offer a different view on life. Nothing inside is decorative. Everything serves the experience.

Our tea meditation sessions last around two hours, with flexibility. There is no fixed format — just a rhythm shaped by the tea and those present. You don’t need any prior experience. You arrive as you are.

During the experience, we serve two wild- or naturally-farmed loose leaf teas — grown without pesticides and often without fertilizer. These teas are art pieces, vastly different from conventional tea in terms of purity, flavor profile and their effect on body and mind.

The tea is chosen intentionally to match your current state of mind. It is brewed Gongfu-style and served in silence. No music, no talk — just space to observe and feel. Your body may begin to relax, your mind may slow down — or you may become aware of the noise within once given space to expand in a safe, quiet environment. Either way, clarity will emerge and change will take place. Afterward, there’s ample space for exchange and conversation if you wish to reflect or ask questions.

For many guests, one session is just the beginning. Some return in person for a customized workshop. Others continue through one of our classes (also available as online format) or begin a simple home practice with naturally- or wild-farmed tea. What starts in our tea room often grows — quietly, personally and on your own terms.

A step-by-step exploration of tea and awareness

Tea Meditation Class

Our tea meditation classes use the practice of Gongfu tea as a way to return to awareness. The focus is simple: shifting attention from the outer world back inward, learning to meet the present moment clearly, and staying with yourself without resistance. When this happens, clarity and calm arise on their own. The class is built around this process.

Each session works with natural, pesticide-free tea. These teas help the body settle — they soften tension, steady the breath, and create the conditions for insight to appear. You learn to observe how the tea moves through you and how awareness responds. Guidance is offered according to your state, not according to a fixed script.

The class introduces the foundations of tea and meditation in a quiet, steady way. You learn traditional gongfu brewing, understand tea from both a scientific and Daoist perspective, and work with basic meditation principles that can be integrated into daily life. The depth adjusts naturally: complete beginners, those already exploring inner work, and students seeking clarity or a more grounded method for staying present all find a place here.

In-person classes take place weekly at our tea room in Taitung — a quiet space built for attention and simplicity. Online classes follow the same rhythm and include mailed tea samples, allowing students abroad to practice with the same teas used in person. Classes are offered in Chinese and English.

Tuition is 1,000 TWD per class (around two hours). The introductory level consists of six classes. Payments can be made in cash, LinePay, or bank transfer in major currencies. Students in Taiwan register through our official LINE account. International students can contact us directly.
